TigerTown
Mission Statement
Our
mission is to contribute to the vitality of the greater Detroit
metropolitan area through supporting regional public art and culture, and
to raise needed funds for the outreach activities of the four member
charities.
First
DogTown, Now TigerTown!
Who:
The Children’s Charities Coalition, including:
Child Abuse and Neglect Council of Oakland County, The Community
House, Orchards Children’s Services and Variety, the Children’s
Charity are announcing a new fundraiser, TigerTown!
What:
TigerTown will feature 100 fiberglass tiger sculptures
that will be displayed throughout Birmingham, Bloomfield, and the metro
Detroit area. Each tiger sculpture will be uniquely decorated and adorned
by local artists and designers.
When:
Tigers will start appearing throughout the cities in
April 2007 and will continue to be displayed until they are auctioned off
in June 2007.
Why:
Proceeds from TigerTown will benefit the outreach
programs of the members of the Children’s Charities Coalition.
How:
A “Call to Enter” will be announced to all
interested artisans, designers, decorators and craftsmen.
Sponsors
will have an opportunity to choose from a portfolio of 100 of the best
designs submitted, as determined by the jury committee.
Sponsorships begin at $3,000.
