Shirley Davis grew up in Detroit, Michigan in a single parent household with six siblings. She has four children of her own and multiple grandchildren. She originally became a licensed foster parent in April 2001 to care for her granchildren. Her grandchildren were eventually reunited with their birth parents and Ms. Davis decided to continue fostering as she enjoyed caring for children and helping out her community. She first considered adoption when a foster child in her home became available to be adopted. She then adopted that child and has adopted seven times since. Ms. Davis genuinely cares for children and wishes to provide stable and loving homes to those in need.
