Art Van Million
Dollar CHARITY CHALLENGE
The Art Van name is an iconic symbol of
quality, customer service and philanthropy.
Through the innovative Art Van Million
Dollar Charity Challenge, Orchards received
a gift of $50,000 in support of our Horizons
Program. The recognition from this highly
regarded Michigan business leader validated
the importance of serving youth in the
uniquely effective way that Orchards does.
Proceeds helped fund the continuum of
services under the Horizons’ umbrella -
three sessions of the research-based
Learn-2-Learn Study Skills Program for forty
youth, funding for 50 youth to attend summer
camp and the consumer-driven Mission:
Transition Program helping youth aging out
of foster care to improve literacy skills
and successfully transition to
post-secondary education. Art Van’s support
provided an invaluable “vote of confidence”
that has helped us leverage additional funds
from private, corporate and foundation
sources. Our deepest appreciation is given
to Art Van for helping us build the momentum
we needed to launch our campaign, and to
continue to serve kids and families in ways
only possible through your support. |
